Kris Maynard
Co-Founder & Executive Chairman

Kris Maynard was born and raised in rural Ohio and graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a pre-med degree in Zoology in December 1989. His chemical career started in Chicago, Illinois in the spring of 1991 after spending several months in Russia doing missions work where he discovered the love of his life. Kris and Cindy were married in May of 1991 and relocated from Chicago to Atlanta, Georgia, where he got his first "real" job. In May of 1996, Kris co-founded Essential Ingredients.

Kris serves as the Executive Chairman of the Board at Cathedral Holdings. His favorite thing about Cathedral Holdings is helping to create and shape a work environment that provides a pathway for employees and stakeholders to utilize their giftedness and bring their best selves to their callings. He is also passionate about building personal relationships with customers and suppliers, understanding their businesses and exploring creative ways to help them be more successful. Kris believes that demonstrating that work can be rewarding, fulfilling, and even fun is something that can give hope to all workers throughout the world. Kris and his partners converted the company to a 100% S Corp ESOP in 2011, and he now has his sights set on building an evergreen company to last 100 years with the stated purpose of "being a blessing to others".

Kris and Cindy have three children: Rachael, Ryan, and Justin as well as two grandsons. Kris is an avid pilot, fisherman, hunter, reader and loves all things outdoors. In his free time, Kris enjoys exploring the mountains with friends and family near their farm in Dahlonega, Georgia.

Born in South Carolina, Justin Jordan graduated from The Citadel in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Justin serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for Cathedral Holdings. Prior to joining Essential Ingredients in 2004, Justin served in Director-level roles in Human Resources at BellSouth, responsible for HR functions and their Information Systems. He was certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resource Management and completed the Advanced HR Executive program from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. During the first five years of his career, he worked in software development at BellSouth and Management Science America.

Justin has been married to Elizabeth Martin Jordan since 1989 and they have four children: Rebecca, Hannah, Will, and Sarah Kate. His hobbies include running and reading.

Chris Bissinger
Chief Financial Officer

Chris Bissinger is an accomplished finance and accounting professional with over 15 years of progressive experience. A native Georgian, Chris joined Ernst & Young's assurance practice in 2002 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Finance. While sharpening his audit skills, Chris received a M.S. with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Virginia. In 2006, Chris joined Coca-Cola Enterprises and served in progressive leadership roles in the Technical Accounting group and most recently the Planning and Performance Management group. Chris came to Essential Ingredients in December of 2016 to lead the Finance function. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Chris and his wife, Amanda, live in Flowery Branch, Georgia with their two children and two dogs. In his spare time, Chris enjoys relaxing at the family's lake house on Lake Hartwell, hiking in the North Georgia mountains, and traveling.

Clint Demetriou is the Founder of Headwaters Growth, LLC which he started in 2020. Uniquely equipped to speak into “all things people” for businesses (Strategic HR), Clint sees every leader whether in business, the community, or family as the headwaters of growth and influence. Clint’s passion is walking alongside these leaders to encourage personal and professional growth.

Most recently Clint was the Chief People Officer of Booster, a nation-wide school fundraising company whose 850 team members are remarkable emerging leaders. Clint served as a business partner, coach, and consultant. His team was responsible for the people side of Booster in a company whose primary distinction is its incredible culture of next-generation, purpose-driven leaders.

Clint brings executive-level leadership experience from organizations across multiple business sectors—from manufacturing and non-profit to telecom and academia. His background includes broad human resource and leadership experience with companies such as AT&T, Perimeter Church, BellSouth International, Georgia Institute of Technology, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Coca-Cola Company, and Booster Enterprises.

Skip Paterson, an Independent Director, brings a wealth of business and industry expertise to the board. His experience spans construction, telecommunications, energy, software, and manufacturing. Throughout his career, Skip has held leadership positions at various companies, including PeopleThought, LLC, ITT Cannon, Activant Solutions/Epicor, Alliant Energy, JD Edwards/PeopleSoft, KN Energy/Kinder Morgan, BellSouth/Cingular, and Parker Hannifin. Additionally, he serves as the Chairman of the Board at 1910 Legacy Enterprises, Inc., as well as a board member and Lead Director at Concrete Supply Company, Inc., both of which are fully employee-owned firms. Skip earned his BS in General Management from Purdue University and his MBA from Indiana University. He is a certified director and senior human resources professional and is affiliated with SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors).

Paula is a senior executive with a 25-year leadership career in regional and global P&L, marketing, and operational roles for multi-billion-dollar enterprises in the specialty chemicals and agricultural solutions markets.

Passionate for sustainability, she holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer of SOLASTA Bio, a UK based agritech specializing in the next generation of green insecticides. In addition, she has a part-time role as the CEO of the Turningpoint Alliance, a global call to action to decarbonize our food systems with an initial focus on Brazil.

Previously, as Global Head of Business and Marketing Excellence at UPL, she positioned the organization as a global leader in sustainable agricultural solutions and embedded new levels of capability across critical areas of business operations, supporting strong revenue and stock price growth over a period of three years.

Prior to this, Paula spent nearly a decade with Arysta LifeScience in global marketing, portfolio management, and strategic alliances roles, and subsequently co-headed its integration with UPL, creating the world’s 5th largest crop protection company.

Her formative career was spent with GE Silicones and predecessor companies in multiple regional and global leadership roles, including a transition to a new entity, Momentive Performance Materials, following the private equity acquisition of GE’s Advanced Materials Business.

In 2022, she received the WeQual Award in the Marketing Category, APAC. Originally from Brazil, Paula has lived in multiple world regions, is fluent in four languages.

Ganesh is currently President & CEO of Etnyre International, a 126-year-old, family-owned midsized manufacturer of a wide range of equipment for the asphalt road building and transportation industry, headquartered in Oregon, Ill. In the past six years, under his leadership, Etnyre has forayed into providing heavy metal fabrications for large OEMs and international expansion which has set the company on a significant growth path. Prior to Etnyre, Ganesh spent nearly 20 years at Caterpillar beginning as an engineer and ultimately holding a wide variety of engineering and Global Senior leadership roles. Dr. Iyer has been recognized by Family Business Magazine, 2021 “CEOs to Watch”, and the Private Company Director Magazine, 2019 “Directors to Watch”. Ganesh’s service on two private Boards has been recognized as both Etnyre International and Neuco, Inc. another Board he served on, were awarded with Private Company Board of the Year awards at the Private Company Governance Summit. Ganesh is also a member of the Board of Visitors of the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University. Ganesh holds an M.E., Engineering Management, University of Wisconsin, Madison; a Ph.D., Mechanical Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University; an M.E., Aerospace Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University; a M.S., Mechanical Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University; and a B.E., Mechanical Engineering, Gujarat University, India. Additionally, Ganesh is a six-sigma master black belt. Ganesh loves people and seeing them thrive at work and is a fantastic addition to our Board.

Ganesh and his wife live in Naperville, IL and they have two daughters. When he is not working, he enjoys reading and watching sports.

Aziz El-Tahch, CFA is a Managing Director at Stout, where he leads the firm’s ESOP & ERISA Advisory practice. He has experience in the valuation of companies, business interests, and securities for numerous purposes, and he has extensive experience in the valuation of business ownership interests in Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). In addition, he has performed analyses related to ESOP security formation and transactions, the determination of transaction fairness and adequate consideration, and annual employer security valuation update.

Aziz is a CFA Charter holder and Member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA); a Member of the ESOP Association, where he serves on the Legal & Regulatory Committee; a Member of the Employee-Owned S Corporations of America (ESCA), where he serves on the Advisory Committee; a Member of the Rutgers NJ/NY Center for Employee Ownership, where he serves as an Advisory Board Member; and a Member of the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO). Aziz is a trustee for the Cathedral School of St. John the Divine and sits on the Board of Advisors of the Georgetown University Wall Street Alliance. Aziz also serves on the board of directors of Point B, Inc., an ESOP-owned consultancy, and Paddock Publications, Inc., a 100% ESOP-owned company and publisher of The Daily Herald and other newspapers.

Aziz graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University with a concentration in International Economics.

Aziz is originally from Pittsburgh (and is an avid Steelers fan), but currently lives in NY New York City with his wife Ayelish and three children, Junia, Martha, and Salim . When he’s not helping his kids with homework or reffing youth soccer games, Aziz enjoys running in Central Park.
